Sundays

As a Christian community, we regularly gather to connect with God and each other. To learn together, to encourage each other, to be changed.

Sunday mornings are our main gathering time and we start with chatting up over coffee/ tea at 10am, followed by our more formal gathered time at 10:30am. Our gatherings are informal and relaxed. We read the Bible, spend time in prayer, sing, laugh and listen as we encourage each other to continue to follow Jesus. There are opportunities for conversation, sharing and reflection. We don’t have a separate Sunday school for most of our Sunday meetings so children are actively included in our times of worship and we value their contribution.

We have been experimenting with ‘forest church’ and different kinds of prayer outside and in our local parks. Keep an eye out for details!

Our monthly pattern is:

1st Sunday - Regular service with communion

2nd Sunday - Brunch Church (a table-based gathering with food: feel free to bring something to add to the shared meal if you would like to. Or just bring yourself!)

3rd Sunday - Regular service

4th/last Sunday - No meeting at Amott Road - we commit to spending time with others (family, neighbours, people we are getting to know, projects or groups that are working for shalom in this part of the world) either on this day or at other points in the week.
