Join us for a Twelfth Night Celebration at Amott Road.
We will gather to mark the end of the Christmas period, take down (most) of the decorations, share food, stories, games and songs.
How you can join in:
1. Prepare a story, song or poem to share. This could be an old favourite, or something you have created yourself.
2. Cook/ bake/ buy something to add to the table for our 'bring and share' dinner.
3. Think of a game to lead! Remember that we are a diverse group and have mixed physical abilities so bear that in mind when choosing! :)
The rough plan will be to start with games, then have some food, finally head outside to our new fire pit to share songs, stories, poems etc.
The Twelfth Night marks the end of the Christmas period and the start of Epiphany - which celebrates the arrival of the Wise People to visit Jesus and his family. Although it is not really celebrated in the UK anymore, in many other countries it is part of the celebrations of Christmas and looking forward to the new year. It almost always includes food (including Twelfth Night Cake - more on this later!) and general merriment.
Join us for a fun evening as we say goodbye to the Christmas season.
